Happy Birthday to You !
B&G’s Charity Foundation
Don’t forget, we have the foundation set
up and waiting for any contributions
you wish to make. No Amount is too
little or too small. Every bit is so
Well, May means that schools are getting ready for the summer breaks, the weather is heating up and the busiest
time of the year in our restaurants is upon us. With the new products in our brands, especially Doritos Locos Tacos,
we have the potential for a great summer of sales in our restaurants.
Potential… what a wonderful word. When a person or goal or idea fulfills its potential, everyone can recognize
the success and it can be a very gratifying conclusion. Yet, un-realized potential, or wasted opportunity can be a
sad thing to watch in a person or a company or a goal. So when I say we have the potential to have a wonderful
summer… it is up to every member of our team to do their part in order for us to reach that potential.
Our managers have to schedule wisely to insure that our customers are satisfied when they visit.
Our food preparers have to make sure they follow procedures and prepare great food.
Our folks working the lines have to make sure they serve only great food within time, and give the
customer what they ordered.
Our cashiers have to make sure they greet each customer with a warm and sincere smile, check every
order for accuracy, and conclude every transaction with a sincere THANK YOU.
This can be the greatest summer in the 30 year history of B&G, and we can all help achieve that goal if we all
work to our potential.
I want to THANK all of you for what you do to make our restaurants the best they can be.
Sincerely, Gregory J Hamer Sr
Juan Guerrera took over Store 27803 (Wilson Rd) in the middle of Period 2
following a period of decline. The restaurant was experiencing extraordinary
speed challenges as well as a consistent flow of customer complaints…they
were screaming for change! The staffing was approaching critical mass when
Juan took over the Leadership role.
Juan accepted the challenge as we had a great need to right this ship, and
he immediately took to task getting to know his team, and assessing the
operational issues diminishing the customer’s experience. Once he had gained
an understanding of the business, he set out to instill a positive vision for the
Team…he was going to be the Best in B&G! He immediately discussed his
plan with his Area Coach, and once the plan was calibrated, he set out full
force to “Make A Difference!” He started hiring to upgrade those servicing our
customers. He also set out direct sourcing to find much needed managers,
and within 60 days has fully staffed his restaurant.
In addition, he has been hiring and developing Team and Managers for his
Area, being a true partner with his Area Coach! Juan has changed a restaurant
underperforming on Sales/Trans to a unit leading in the Texas Market with
current Sales growth of 43.55% for Period 4, and has moved his YTD growth to
29.85%; in addition his Trans growth has moved to 26.63% with YTD resting at
18.64%! Speed is 2:48 OTD for Period 4 moving his YTD to 3:12. He has also
reorganized his restaurant (positioning it with our vision in Texas), and
dramatically improved cleanliness…Customers today are screaming “We Love
It!” Juan is a great partner, and I am blessed to have him on my Team in
